IBP9 Follow Up - An SEO Tool.

Is this Search Engine Optimization Tool for You?

At the WAHM.com forum and MommyJobs.com forum that I am a member of, I was able to get some feedback on IBP and here is what I learned.

First and foremost, it is a good product for SEO users. On the other hand, one review I read suggested that it was a great tool for beginners who are just learning how to manage search engines through optimizing their sites, but not really necessary for the more seasoned website user. Here is what George Manty, a member of one of the forums I belong to and a veteran to blogging, had to say:

I reveiwed version 7 and updated my review for version 8, but have not yet taken a look at version 9. Version 9 has some really nice features from what I understand.

My reveiw of version 9 is here:

http://websitepromotionbook.com/seo_software_reveiws.html

I think it is a good tool for beginners, but it's important to note, that in general keyword density is not nearly as important as links and many SEO experts will tell you that keyword density does not matter at all. I think it's a nice tool for beginners, but nobody needs SEO software to get high rankings. Also, be aware that it is against the TOS of Google to run automated ranking checkers.

So, how about you? What do you think about this product?

You can download a demo-version of this product for free to try it out for yourself here: IBP 9.

As a repeat of what I wrote in my last blog entry, SEO-News' newsletter says, "The demo-version allows you to allows you to test-drive IBP and it also includes a free search engine optimization eBook that helps you to quickly get started. Try our products and improve your bottom line."

Now for a commercial break:

GourmetGiftBaskets.com suggests that if you are looking for gift baskets, not just for the regular gift giving occasions, but for all occasions, they are the ones to look to. Their latest web release reminds consumers, "We use the finest gourmet food gift basket components to craft our baskets."

A New SEO Tool on the Market!

Have You Heard of IBP-9?

I recently received an email newsletter from SEO-News.com and they advertised a search engine optimization product called IBP 9.

I haven't heard anything about this product, but it proposed to help with Page Rank regardless of the changes in search engine ranking algorithms. According to SEO News, "IBP tells you in three easy steps what you have to do to improve your web pages for top 10 search engine rankings. Highly ranked web pages bring more visitors and more sales to your site."

It sounds like a cool product to at least try. So, if you have heard of this product, please leave a comment below and tell me what you think of this new Search Engine Optimization Tool. I'd love to hear from you!

Now for an off topic fact:

Did you know that the average wedding costs $25,000? "WOW!" you say? In a recent web release about wedding cameras published by ShopForWeddings.com, I read this:

"How Much Do You Actually Need? Just like buying shoes, an apartment, or a pair of jeans, when it comes to financing a wedding, you should figure out how much you need to spend to get what you want. Set your expectations accordingly. Knot Note: The average cost for a 150-person wedding is about $25,000 (higher in urban areas)."

Value Link Exchanging - A Follow Up!

Value Link Exchanging - Did you join?

In the last post I shared a valuable FREE book with you about improving your link exchange program on your blog or website. This book spoke about how to develop "contextual link exchanges," a different kind of swap that should help boost your website or blog traffic.

At the bottom of the page there was a FREE "Value Exchange" program. This program connects you with people in your niche that are looking to swap links.

I just joined yesterday and am already on my way to more valuable link exchanging. Don't forget to join this program. It is absolutely free. Of course, there is work involved. The program simply puts you in touch with other websites that can boost your presence on the net by the use of "contextual link exchanges."

When you sign up, you are asked to provide no less than 20 keywords that you want to target and then the program looks for other websites in the program with similarities in keywords. After that, you are sent an email that shares the links to the sites that were found along with a description of each site. You are then encouraged to review the site to see if it is a site that you would like to exchange links with.

Finally, you either accept the site or reject it. If you accept the site, an email is generated and sent to the site's administrator requesting the link exchange. After this, it is up to you to do the follow up. You will either get a "yay" or "nay" since, of course, the other website has the option of accepting or rejecting you.

That's the gyst of the Value Exchange program. Again, the emphasis is based on "contextual links" so once links have been exchanged, you are on your way to getting more targeted traffic to your website and also more of a search engine presence.

Here's the link again for you: Sitesell.com

And now for a little known fact:

Have you ever heard of Nancy Burpee? Simmons Jannace & Stagg of SJSLaw.com recently published a web release that shared her experience. It explained that Ms. Burpee attempted to participate as a world class paralympic swimmer in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece and was denied participation on a procedural technicality." She went on to sue the United States Olympic Committee, but to no avail. Notwithstanding this experience, "Ms. Burpee has continued her swim career and will compete in the World Championships in the upcoming year."

Would you be so persistant? I relate this to my goal of earning an income online by blogging, affiliate marketing, what have you. You must never give up. You can do it! Just remember that and work toward your goals.

Your Link Exchange Program - FREE Book!

How is Your Link Exchange Plan Working For You?

I received this email from Lisa of 2CreateAWebsite.com the other day sharing the fact that she found her "link exchange" program ineffective. She said that she found that partnering with the sites she exchanged links with didn't produce many clicks back to her site.

She then went on to share a solution to this "link exchange" dilemma. She says she discovered a FREE book on linking strategies called "Make Your Links Work."

I thought you would you like a copy of this FREE Book? Her description of the book goes like this, "It shows you how to build an effective link swap that includes more than just building a huge "links" page."

She goes on to say, "You need to learn how to build 'contextual link exchanges'. It's a different kind of swap that can really help boost your traffic if you do it the right way. The book goes into further detail on this concept."

Here's where you can download "Make Your Links Work": Sitesell.com.
(The download link is about half way down the page)

Remember, this is a FREE Book so hurry on over. Truth be told, I have yet to read it, but I have downloaded it. Let me know what you think! I can't wait to hear from you.

Here is an off topic fact for you from a Primestyle.com web release I read on diamond rings: Have you heard of the Hope Diamond? It is steeped in mystery and intrigue. "According to the legend, a curse befell the large, blue diamond when it was plucked (i.e. stolen) from an idol in India - a curse that foretold bad luck and death not only for the owner of the diamond but for all who touched it. Whether or not you believe in the curse, the Hope diamond has intrigued people for centuries."

The No Follow Tag!

Ever Wonder - What is it and What Does It Do?

The other day I was completing a blog entry and, of course, the last thing I do, but certainly not the least, is that I prepare my Technorati tags. Low and behold, while I was doing all the copying and pasting, I noticed the "no follow" tag in the Technorati tag links.

Do you know what the "no follow" tag is and what is it's purpose? I didn't.

So, I did a little research, and came up with a quick answer. It seems this tag was proposed and is now used because of all the blog spammers out there. If the "no follow" tag is used, then search engines will not notice the link, which in turn will discourage spammers from spamming since spamming their link will get them nowhere with search engines. What? - you may be saying right about now. LOL!

Of course, there is a lot more to it, so I'll direct you to where I found this information on the "no follow" tag, so you can read it from an experts mouth:

The Internet Digest

This is a great resource for those who are looking to use blogging as a means of making an income. Enjoy your reading and if I were you, I'd bookmark this site!

Now for a commercial pause: What is a New York facelift? Dr. Miller can tell you! In fact his company's web release directs you to the official website for Dr. Miller, www.drphilipmiller.com, where you will not only learn what a New York facelift is, but other types of plastic surgery as well.

250 Free Business Cards!

Advertise with Business Cards!

Ever thought about advertising your blogs with business cards? This is actually a great offline way to market your sites to get quality website traffic. Business cards can be given out to people you know, placed in bathrooms at movie theatres, posted on bulletin boards at your local colleges and laundromats. Some stores also have bulletin boards where they allow free advertising, so your business cards can go here too. The possibilities are endliess!

Again, if you are looking for a great offline way to advertise, giving out business cards is one of the superb ways to do just this. Vista Print.com has an offer going where you can get 250 business cards absolutely free. Of course, you pay for shipping and handling which can run anywhere from around $6 to $30 depending on the speed with which you desire your shipment.

You are also given a choice of over 40 different looks. If you do not like any of these looks, you can pay more for a choice of over a 100 other looks or design your own with your choice of uploaded picture from your files.

Also, your business cards need not display your home address or phone number if you do not wish them to. You are the master of what you wish to show on your cards. I decided to just list my business name, website address, and a little advertising byline related to the site.

This is what mine looks like:

IntelliTXT - What is it and is it for your blog?

What is IntelliTXT and is it for you?

I briefly researched IntelliTXT, one of Vibrant Media's products, and came up with a few answers to what their product is and whether you can use it to make money while blogging. Is this product similar to Google's Adsense? This is what I came up with directly from their FAQ page:
FAQ

What is IntelliTXT?
Is a an in-text ad unit, created and distributed through Vibrant Media Incorporated, developed to locate words & phrases found within text and apply relevant commercial information. IntelliTXT ad units are identified with a double-underline and all corresponding ad units are clearly marked with “Advertisement”.

How do I use IntelliTXT?
1) Mouse over a double-underlined word or phrase to display the ad unit containing relevant advertiser information.
2) For further information, click inside the ad unit to go to the advertiser website.
3) If you don’t come across a word or phrase of interest, simply ignore the double-underlined words and continue your reading session with no interruptions.

How do the websites and IntelliTXT work together?
Websites provide valuable content and information to internet users. IntelliTXT helps support this content by delivering relevant advertising campaigns in a user-controlled format. IntelliTXT helps empower users to view relevant advertising on their own terms.
I also found out through trying to apply myself that you will only qualify for their in-text advertising campaign if your site gets 500,000 page views per month and the traffic must be coming from specific countries/regions and industries. Here is the information from their qualificatons page:
Does your site qualify for IntelliTXT?

Vibrant Media is currently planning IntelliTXT and SmartAD advertising campaigns in the following countries/regions: USA, UK, Canada, France, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Japan, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. If the majority of your traffic/unique user base reside outside of these countries/regions, please check back in with us in 6 months to a year.

We currently work with publishers and advertisers in the following categories; Automotive, Business, Computing, Consumer Electronics, Entertainment, Finance, Food and Drink, Health, Home & Garden, Men's Interest, Women's Interest, Sport, Travel, and Video Gaming. Please check with us periodically if you do not see your industry listed here, as we are continually updating our categories.
Your website must receive a minimum of 500,000 content rich page views to qualify for IntelliTXT. “Content rich” is defined as a page containing more than 50 words. Your website must receive a minimum of 500,000 page views to qualify for IntelliTXT.

Vibrant Media does not work with web publishers that link directly to, promote or contain the following content:

* Illegal activity
* Gambling
* Pornographic or indecent material
* Material that violates intellectual property rights of third parties or promotes software piracy
* Incentives for users to click onto advertisements
* Any subject matter inconsistent with Vibrant Media’s corporate policies as determined at its sole discretion from time to time
I tried to find out how much revenue you can generate per click, but haven't found that out yet. When I do, I'll let you know. At any rate, now that you know what this product is and what it does, do you qualify?

And now for our commercial break:

Beyond Blossoms.com recently shared a really neat project on creating a monogram of flowers in their web release, and if you love flowers you can do this at home. I will share with you the supplies you will need and then I'll direct you to the steps:

Here are the Supplies: " _ 6-inch wood letter of choice _ white craft paint & paintbrush _ floral print scrapbook paper _ glue stick _ hot glue _ tacky glue _1 large silk hydrangea 1/4-inch decorative ribbon (enough to go around your letter, plus 10 inches) small rhinestones or ultra fine glitter."

Have FUN!

Link Popularity - Ever Wonder How Popular You Are?

So...How Popular Is Your Blog or Website?

I've been wondering this myself and today found a site that told me how to get this information. Of course, there are many sites on the world wide web that will let you know what your page rank is and forecast what it will be in three months, etc., but what about a site that just tells you how many times your blog or website has been linked?

Here's a site that will tell you this information from the top three search engines, Yahoo, Google and MSN.

Link Popularity

Have fun! I was surprised at my results. Maybe you will be too.

By the way, here's a funny joke that my friend Kira shared that I thought you women out there would appreciate (look toward the bottom of the blog entry): Kira's Blog

Awesome Internet Marketing Deal!

Do you use banners to promote your blog or website?

As an internet marketing technique making banners for your website is an excellent idea. You can promote your website anywhere you are allowed to post your banner. In comparison to text ads, using banners is a colorful and bold technique to use.

I have been frequenting another mom forum and one of the ladies there has been making banners for blogs and websites for your advertising needs (2 banners for $5).

She has been doing so well with this new venture that she opened a website here:

Banner Chick

On her site she has featured samples of the banners she has already made, some of which you may have already seen.

The banners she features are custom made to fit your needs and she's offering 2 banners for $5. I just used her service and am waiting on mine. I thought this was an awesome deal so here it is for you guys and gals.

When you place your order be sure to mention my name, Elizabeth Amaro!!
