O.K. so it's been tax season for some of us since February, but for many, waiting until April is the thing to do. Do you have your finances in order? Have you calculated all of your expenses in relation to your business? Do you know what is deductible vs. what is not? Are you claiming a home office for the 2006 tax year? Knowing what to do with your finances during tax season is the most stressful experience, but it doesn't have to be. That's what accountants are there for, right?
"But...wait....I don't have the money to hire an accountant. I only have a small business and not much coming in as it is." I know I've said that over and over again, but today I read a web release that reminded me why I do have an accountant even if it seems like the price is tremendous for my little earnings.
And talking about accountants, MurphyAccounting.com shared what they believe is worth your valuable time and money, tax-time sanity. They acknowledge that accounting is not rocket science and is not impossible to do yourself. Then they ask the poignant questions, "But do you really want to? Wouldn't you like to have more time to do what you really want or need to do for your business? Wouldn’t it be nice to not have to worry whether your books are accurate or that you might be paying too much taxes?"
MurphyAccounting.com is an
Easton Accounting firm "delivering professional small business accounting and corporate accounting services for companies south of Boston MA." It's up to you to decide whether services like they offer are right for you and your business. But really, what are you going to do?
